The Multypexalfa gas multilayer PEX-Al-PEX pipe is a PEXb-Al-Pexb pipe produced by Plastica Alfa for the transport of gaseous fuels (natural gas and LPG) in domestic installations. The pipe consists of five layers: the two PExb layers (inner and outer) are bonded to the aluminium intermediate layer by two stabilised polymer bonding layers. The aluminium layer provides an oxygen barrier, reduces linear thermal expansion effects and gives the tube dimensional stability and flexural strength.
