The Alfaturbo 3″ Hydrocyclone Filter uses centrifugal force and is able to remove large quantities of sand, slag and solid particles from the water. The water enters the filter and is accelerated by the rotary motion, the sand and the heavier solid particles of water collect in the reservoir, while the clean water rises from the central part of the body.
The polymer material from which the Alfaturbo hydrocyclone sand separator filter is manufactured makes it resistant to corrosion by moving solid particles, unlike similar metal filters, and abrasion caused by solids suspended in water.
It is characterised by lightness and modularity, is versatile and compatible with various types of connections (threaded, flanged, grooved and compression) and is used in agriculture, industry, waterworks and for the filtration of domestic drinking water, within mobile filter stations, as well as a pre-filtering system before gravel, mesh, disc filters, etc.
