The multilayer pipe (FASER PP-RCT SDR 11) Alfaidro represents the evolution of single-layer pipes, as the advantages of traditional PP-RCT pipes are added to those of the glass fibre intermediate layer, which gives the pipes greater dimensional stability.
The inner and outer layers made of PP-RCT 125 give the pipe greater resistance to high temperatures over the long term, allowing it to have the same mechanical properties with a lower thickness than PP-R, thus lower weight, higher flow rate and lower pressure losses. The glass-fibre-reinforced interlayer reduces linear thermal expansion by approximately 75 per cent compared to single-layer pipes, which translates into fewer brackets (-30 per cent) and therefore less installation time and costs.
Alfaidro multilayer pipe (FASER PP-RCT SDR 11) is particularly suitable for hydronic heating and cooling systems, compressed air systems and various industrial applications. In addition, it can be fitted with the full range of Alfaidro fittings, using traditional socket welding and electro-welding techniques.
